Open Hearts, Open Minds, Open Doors

Welcome Visitors and Newcomers!

Perhaps you just found us by surfing the net, or maybe you have driven by our church and wondered who and what we are, or perhaps you are moving to the area and are looking for a Christian community of faith. You might be "church-shopping," which is very common these days.

People want to feel comfortable in a church setting, yet they often seek a place that will challenge them to deepen their faith. Oftentimes, life transitions prompt people to seek a new church home. You may be seeking a church home because of a new marriage, or the addition of a new child to your family. Maybe it's because you have experienced a significant loss in your life or because you are moving to a new place. Or perhaps it's simply because you want to strengthen your relationship with God or delve more deeply into your spirituality. You might want to explore different denominations, or you might seek the United Methodist Church because it is the denomination with which you are most familiar. Some people seek a church home because of its mission program or its music program or its opportunities in Christian education. There are a variety of reasons for seeking a church family and we welcome you to ours.

Visitors and Newcomers are invited to attend worship at Bon Air UMC on Sundays at 8:30AM and 11:00AM. At 9:30AM we invite you to fellowship with us in The Commons, just outside the sanctuary. This is a time when we can extend a warm welcome to you. Our members invite you to enjoy coffee and juice while we visit together in Christian fellowship. We want to help you feel at home in our church.

We hope you feel welcomed in our church. If you live in the metro-Richmond area, we invite you to check us out on Sunday mornings. We'll send you home with a fresh loaf of homemade bread! If you are from out of town, we invite you to visit when you are in Richmond.

Membership at Bon Air UMC

If you are interested in membership at Bon Air UMC, we first invite you to visit with us regularly to see if we are truly a place where you feel led to deepen your relationship with Jesus Christ.  You may also learn more about membership at How to Become a Member of Bon Air UMC.  And as always, we encourage you to speak with one of our pastors should you have further questions regarding church membership.
