Alternative Spring Break
CSM New York City April 9 - 14, 2012
What: Did you know that the world's largest and fastest growing mission fields are urban centers? We will learn about the problems of New York City's urban poor as we serve with a variety of well-established local ministries. Most of our work will involve people-to-people interaction through programs provided by meal ministries, homeless shelters, etc. In addition, we will stay in the city and eat dinner each evening at a different ethnic restaurant. Who: Open to 9th-12th grade students (at the time of the trip). Space is limited to 12, including adults, so sign up asap. Cost: $360 ($320 with the Pumpkin discount) More: www.csm.org

High School Summer Trip
Appalachian Service Project (ASP) July 7 - 14, 2012
What: The Appalachia region may be rich with natural resources, but many of its citizens are poor. ASP has worked in the area for 40 years to make "homes safer, warmer and drier." We'll stay in a local school or community center while we spend the week doing light construction. Who: Open to current 8th - 12th grade students (Note: you must be at least 14 at the time of the trip). Space is limited to 10 youth and 4 adults. Cost: $350 ($300 with Pumpkin discount) More: www.asphome.org
